About

fairy-tales-are-true
Hi I’m David – the quote to my left is my favorite of all time. All you need is a little imagination and a whole lot of determination, and even the loftiest dreams can be accomplished.

So about me… I like to define myself in adjectives. For me, life centers on:

  • Success (in everything I do)

  • Education (always learning)

  • Travel (as much as possible)

Ever since I was young, the idea of defying expectations is one that has stuck with me to this very day. As such, throughout my years of formal and less formal education, I train to always understand the “Why?” and the “How?” that of which affects user behavior, perception, and decision making.

Fortunately, life is treating me well thus far, but I am nowhere close to where I want to be. I pride myself on getting sh*t done and as I write this, getting sh*t done is basically the core mission of this blog.  To help like-minded sales and business development professionals find greatness so that they can create the most compelling future possible.

I’m blessed to have the opportunity in the last few years to:

  • Raise $5 Million+ in seed money for organic farm restoration project

  • Teach 500+ people on successful sales and biz dev tactics

  • Hold multiple company records for an award-winning NYC tech company

  • Travel to 15 countries and counting

I constantly try to optimize my output and am a firm believer in working smart vs. working hard but do grin at the fact that no one ever tells you that you must work extremely hard to get to the point of working smart.  It’s certainly doable though.

If I’m not in search of a new personal mission to accomplish, set my sights on a path less taken, or uncovering ways to optimize my everyday tasks, you can probably find me tapping the keys on my laptop. Bonus points for me if I’m doing so while sipping a daiquiri on a beach.

Basketball, Golf, and the gym keep me alive too – always doing what I can to get out a good sweat and release those endorphins. Activity breeds success.

This is the awesome company I work for. Nothing is better than being part of an amazing team.

This game has dramatically shaped who I am today. To think that a board game can have such an effect on one’s life, you’re probably looking at the screen in disbelief, but I assure you the lessons learned will pay tremendous dividends for you, your kids, and your kids kids. Play this game – get out of the rate race!

I wish I had time to read more books. Tim Ferriss, Robert Kiyosaki, Gary Vaynerchuck, Ramit Sethi, Seth Godin, Fred Wilson, Eric Ries, Mark Cuban, Richard Branson, Malcolm Gladwell, Tony Robbins, Napoleon Hill, Kevin O’Leary, Guy Kawasaki, and Stephen J. Dubner are some of my favorite authors.

Practicing diligent introspection is my goal for 2015.

Writing what I feel will allow me to better understand the goals I set for myself. It will also be a driving source of inspiration/pressure.

That is why I now carry a Moleskin notebook with me everywhere I go now, yes I’m that guy.
